Here are a few images captured at Makapu'u Beach, right across from Sea Life Park.

(Little trivia: Sea Life Park is where Adam Sandler's character worked in the movie 50 First Dates, which was filmed on O'ahu.)

Plants on the roof

At a fast-food stop, right off of King Street, plants are set-up outside on the first floor roof.

Palm trees lined up along a street near Puck's Alley

Many "half palm trees" can be found in the area, but where the other halves have gone is a mystery to us all.

These are two pictures of a local mosaic image on one of the nearby buildings. I'm always amazed at how much detail there is, all from little tiles of different colors. So nice!

Kneeling Bus

I don't really understand the "Kneeling" sticker. Do YOU? It doesn't make sense. A bus can't kneel. Are the passengers suppose to kneel? NO! Why have it?? "The mysteries of life..."

Pearl Harbor

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to pay a visit to Pearl Harbor. Below are some pictures that were taken there. I went out to the memorial for the U.S.S. Arizona, where you are actually standing directly above the sunken ship.

A view from Pearl Harbor

One of the rusted columns of the U.S.S. Arizona
(This picture was taken while on the memorial, so the actual sunken ship you're seeing was directly beneath. This ship began leaking oil into harbor when it first sank, and it still continues to leak oil to this day.)

Back on track, Picture of the Day is up and running once again :)
Here's a pic of one of my favorite beaches here. It's a man-made beach, but you would never know it. It's usually pretty quiet (compared to Waikiki), AND, it's right by the mall!
