A cat catches some zzzzz's beneath a car at the UH Manoa campus. Following this incident, many students have recently been spotted doing the same.

Picture of the Day
Here are a few images captured at Makapu'u Beach, right across from Sea Life Park.
(Little trivia: Sea Life Park is where Adam Sandler's character worked in the movie 50 First Dates, which was filmed on O'ahu.)

At a fast-food stop, right off of King Street, plants are set-up outside on the first floor roof.

These are two pictures of a local mosaic image on one of the nearby buildings. I'm always amazed at how much detail there is, all from little tiles of different colors. So nice!

I don't really understand the "Kneeling" sticker. Do YOU? It doesn't make sense. A bus can't kneel. Are the passengers suppose to kneel? NO! Why have it?? "The mysteries of life..."

Pearl Harbor
A couple of weeks ago, I was able to pay a visit to Pearl Harbor. Below are some pictures that were taken there. I went out to the memorial for the U.S.S. Arizona, where you are actually standing directly above the sunken ship.
Tourists observing the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial
(Which is the white rectangular building on the water, center-left.)

Picture of the Day
Back on track, Picture of the Day is up and running once again :)
Here's a pic of one of my favorite beaches here. It's a man-made beach, but you would never know it. It's usually pretty quiet (compared to Waikiki), AND, it's right by the mall!

Two books for the new Meep Book Club
I think it's about time the Meeps start a book club. What better way to stay connected?? Here are two books that I think would be the perfect start to the new endeavor...
(Euro-Spanish not included)
Squirrels. Gone. Wild. Excellent.
Pal, did you submit a still from THE 1/2 girl, 1/2 squirrel masterpiece? One could only hope! :)

Picture of the Day
Just some cracked dirt on campus. I don't know why it's cracked, because it usually rains almost everyday here, even if it's just for a few minutes. It's that Hawaiian sun I tells ya!

Lotsa Pitchas
It's a picture medley... enjoy!!
Plumeria Flowers: On campus
Bellevue Crazy Girl: Not on campus
So they sell these Halloween costumes at Spencers! Bellevue. BELLEVUE! Connected underground to Brookdale. They nationaly sell these. Ahh, the horror.
Smile!!: On campus
So bright and sunny! That's what I saw when I first took this pic. Then I noticed the American flag. And then I noticed the swaskit behind the smiley face. Weird!

I'm not sure on the name of the park, but it is right along King Street near the campus. I love how the houses are all stacked along the mountain. You see that everywhere here.
One of my favorite pics of Waikiki.
Isn't this cute? Although, I really feel bad for the birds, especially the babies. Can you imagine how loud that must be?? I don't even know what they use these speakers for... but it must make the birds deaf!

I noticed this one red leaf amongst the many green ones, on this very large tree. How's that for being unique?

Just kidding. Can you guess by the foreground where this is? Yes, in a bathroom stall, in the Art building. This is why I love Art/the department/the students: you never know what to expect, except that you're bound to see some creative and unique things around you. Like a pencil drawing of a woman with a mustache, in a bathroom stall.

This picture was taken on campus, and the sticker is on a light pole. Who knew they had other versions of these stickers? First the Entenmann's, now this. Hawai'i, you never seize to amaze me!

Sidewalk Art
So, here I was, just walking along Dole Street, heading back to the apartment. I've always noticed that there was writing in the pavement, outside of Johnson Hall, but I never really took the time to read what it said.
WELL, am I glad I did! I found out some very interesting things, and all I can say is that: Mom and Dad, I am very surprised by the two of you. VERY surprised!
And just who is Steph, dad??
